Week 14 Power Rankings

1)BYU - Still have one week left, and a long shot chance at the BCS. By far the best team in the Mountain West Conference. It was a good year last year putting up the same record with Seniors at all major skill positions; however, doing this with Sophomores and Freshman is amazing. It should be a long time before BYU gives up the top spot.

2)Air Force - The Cadets have amazing year. Coach should win the Coach of the Year for the conference, and get serious consideration for the national award. Now just waiting for a bowl invite. Hopefully nothing crazy happens to leave the Falcons home for the holidays.

3)Utah - They had the game in their hands and they let it go for a second straight year. 4th and 18! Utah was out played for most of the game and came up with big plays when they needed to, but on 4Th and 18 they laid an egg. Now await invite to play Navy in the Poinsettia Bowl.

4)New Mexico - Lobos destroy UNLV at home and end season on a high note. They wait on the musical chairs of bowl invites hoping not to be left out in the cold. Between themselves, TCU, and Air Force most likely one of them should be left out in the cold. They do have the inside track with the New Mexico bowl.

5)TCU OVERRATED - 111 plays on offense and 694 yards of total offense almost made me take the overrated tag away from this TCU team. Yet, the all powerful TCU defense gave up 441 yards of offense to the Aztec. (obviously BYU taught all their dirty handed tricks to the Aztecs allowing them to put up that many yards) They also went down 17-0 in the first quarter and were bailed out by their offense. If SDSU had any type of defense to speak of TCU would have been destroyed in this game. Lucky for the Horn Frogs they were playing San Eigo St this week.

6) San Diego St. - No defense! Good turn around on the season since the fires hit California. They do have BYU coming in for the bowl game this Saturday, look for the Aztecs to hit the Cougs with everything.

7) Colorado St - End the season with a win over"Rival" Wyoming. LuBeck is gone, so look for CSU to reestablish themselves in the Mountain West as a contender next year. Coaching was the only thing keeping them from being one this year.

8) UNLV- Basketball is here! Although the team did keep the field warm so BYU can use it again for the Las Vegas Bowl.

9) Wyoming - Wow, really looking over this season, what a waste of opportunities by the Pokes. Beating a better then expected Virginia team and using that to springboard to 4-1, only to win one game the rest of the season. They locked up the bottom spot for the year with the lose to CSU killing any prayer they had to go bowling.
